First settled by the Coast Salish, the name Comox (K'omoks) is derived from the Native word meaning, "Land of Plenty". Comox (12,136 Statistics Canada, Census 2006), is home to many successful businesses in many diverse industries, and is located in the center of a rich agricultural area bordering the Comox Peninsula.

Statistics – These statistics are designed to give you a general overview of the Town of Comox.

Business Licence Information – To operate within the Town of Comox, you will be required to purchase a business license.  Due to Inter-municipal bylaw amendments, you may be able to receive a business license for both the Town of Comox and the City of Courtenay.
