Nominations Invited for 25th Annual BC Export Awards

If you have been exporting a product or service for two years+ consider nominating your company for the BC Export Awards. The Awards recognize the innovative approaches and unique contributions of British Columbia export companies across a variety of sectors and in all regions of the Province.

Spirit Chair Speaks at BC 2008/Spirit of BC Summit

Susan Kelsey, Chair of the Comox Valley Spirit of BC Community Committee was one of over 85 Spirit Chairs to participate in the BC 2008/Spirit of BC Summit this month. Kelsey was asked to speak to the Summit about the Timberwest World Cup and the partnership with the Comox Valley Spirit Committee. “The Comox Valley is definitely on the radar. Our work was recognized many times throughout the Summit,” said Kelsey.

Kelsey was also pleased to introduce Comox Valley MLA and Minister of Sport, Tourism and the Arts, Stan Hagen, who announced BC 2008 Community Celebrations which will mark the 150th Anniversary of the founding of the Crown Colony of British Columbia in 1858. Communities across the Province will celebrate BC’s cultural diversity, community strength and achievement.
