2007 IPC Biathlon and Cross Country Skiing World Cup Finals
March 10 – 14, 2007
Paralympic athletes from international biathlon and cross country ski teams will be in the Comox Valley competing on Mount Washington for the 2007 International Paralympic Committee World Cup Finals. Come and experience the thrill of witnessing these elite level athletes compete as they race for gold and hone their skills for 2010! Races, special events and more….
Saturday March 10
8:30 am - Competition #1 – Biathlon Sprint, Raven Lodge
3:00pm - World Cup Spirit Celebration at Simms Millennium Park, Downtown Courtenay, Medal Presentations & Live Entertainment
Sunday March 11
8:30 am - Competition #2 – Cross Country Long Distance, Raven Lodge
6:00pm - Taste of Vancouver Island Filberg Centre, World Cup Community Reception & Awards
Celebrate sport excellence and meet International Paralympic athletes at this community event. Great food tastes presented by the North Vancouver Island Chefs Association, awards and more. Tickets are available at a cost of $30.00 each plus GST & will be available for pick up at the Comox valley Chamber of Commerce, 2040 Cliffe Avenue, (250) 334-3234 & the CIBC Wood Gundy Office 101-635 Fitzgerald Ave, (250) 703-5380.
