You are invited to join the 2010 Legacies Now Connecting Communities Express when it arrives at the Comox Valley Exhibition Fall Fair.
Minister Stan Hagen, Minister of Tourism, Sport and the Arts / MLA, Comox Valley and Susan Kelsey, Chair, Comox Valley Spirit of BC Community Committee will be on hand for a photo opportunity at 11:15am.
The display, presented by Bell and the Province of B.C., is an educational and interactive exhibit designed to inspire British Columbians to become more involved in their communities and learn about developing their own legacies leading up to 2010 and beyond.
Visitors to the 2010 Legacies Now Connecting Communities Express can:
- View a Team Canada hockey jersey from the 1960s and other memorabilia from the B.C. Sports Hall of Fame
- Learn about opportunities in sport and recreation, arts, literacy and volunteerism
- Discover how 2010 Legacies Now is working with their community
- Climb in a bobsled for a complimentary souvenir photograph
