Municipal Business Licences

To operate a business within the City of Courtenay, Town of Comox, or the Village of Cumberland you will require a business licence. To learn more about business licences for each of these municipalities, or to register for a business licence please follow these links.
You will need the following information to apply for a Municipal Business Licence:
- Get your name approved
- Register your business name
- Know your business name, address and phone number
- Start date of business
- Type of business (commercial, industrial, home based, other)
- Total floor area of business (for farms, this does not include total acreage)
- Municipalities in which the business will operate
After you have all the information you need to register for a business licence, you can apply online or at any one of the municipal halls.
One Stop Business Registry - The One Stop Business Registry will allow you to find all of the important information pretaining to business licences for the City of Courtenay, Town of Comox and the Village of Cumberland.
