With unprecedented population growth, the Comox Valley population has risen to over 62,000. The Valley is comprised of major urban areas of the City of Courtenay, Town of Comox, Village of Cumberland and Comox Strathcona Regional District rural areas.
The area boasts 30 km of shoreline and 1700 sq. km (1056 miles) of forest, mountains and farmland. The region is serviced by the Comox Valley International Airport (YQQ), St. Josephs Regional Hospital, North Island College and Canadian Forces Base 19 Wing Comox.
